Long away and far ago there lived an eccentric being they called Driftwood Scavenger. As the legend goes, he would dwell in secluded peaceful caves and coves along the shores of the earths oceans, collecting driftwood and decorating his temporary dwellings with the unique pieces he would gather. Some believed him to be an other worldly creature, but he was simply a man, detached from society yearning for the peace of God to flow through him for the benefit of all creation.

The Driftwood Scavenger would create stringed instruments from driftwood and sea weed. As he would play, the birds would sing their most beautiful songs, the wild flowers would dance as they produced constantly changing fragrances, each unique from any ever experienced before. It is said that at times, the sky above the cove would reflect subtle hues of colors never before seen. The animals of the area would flock to the general area where the sound and visions were radiating.

Eventually, at each location, a small handful of people would accumulate as they would stumble upon the Driftwood Scavenger and bask in the peace of God with him for a short span of days. Those who were drawn were either people in need of spiritual healing or they had a specific word of God for the Driftwood Scavenger. Often it was instruction or confirmation of where he was to go next.

Those who have encountered him say that he always departed when they were in a peaceful, healing trance.

Recently some have claimed that Driftwood Scavenger is making appearances at various venues and street locations around Orange County California. They say he has come somewhat out of seclusion hoping to bring the peace of God to these places.

NOTE from RC:

From time to time Driftwood gains access to the web site and has his way with it. The above is an example of that...ahh, what the hey, I gotta have someone to blame the weird stuff on.

The music player above features some raw stuff. Live recordings, street jams and Driftwood experimentals.

Driftwood also has started an audio blog HERE.
